Barco E2 4K image processor

UPDATE

As i’ve been updating our website, I’ve realised I have yet to make a blog about the Barco E2.

I feel I should rectify this, as we primarily are here to rent our e2 & offer technical expertise to you. My skills as a blogger sadly leave a lot to be desired.

Event Master

Barco is currently on v5.0 of its Event master software, with v5.1 about to drop (it’s currently in beta)

You can access the software at this link. This will take you to Barco’s FTP site, where you will also find many other great Barco resources.

The event master software and e2 has progressed far from it’s first offering & is now a highly competent unit offering a great solution for both projection & LED.

Currently supporting HDMI 1.4, DP 1.1, DVI-D & 3G SDI inputs & HDMI 1.4 & 3G SDI outputs in its standard shipping configuration. The e2 offers 4K per input/output card.

Next Generation

Barco has recently introduced two next-generation 4K60p video interface cards. With the new 4K tri-combo input and output cards, single cable 4K60p is supported via DisplayPort 1.2, HDMI 2.0 and 12G SDI.

The new output cards also offer image rotation, a long sort after option to the e2 arsenal.

 

 

Event Master

The event master software is your interface to controlling the e2.
This offers a place to create custom edids, control your input & output formats, create destinations & position your sources.

 

 

With the latest software you can now also use alpha channels in PNG’s to create masks. Among many other great functions.
