How can Event Master help your event
The Problem
Many events are moving to wide screen presentation to offer something different, but once you get outside of the usual aspect ratio’s (16:9) & pixel counts (1920×1080) many switchers either can’t cope or can’t offer the flexibility needed for a modern fast paced show.
Flexibility
Barco’s e2 has been designed from the ground up to provide this support & flexibility whether a basic 3:1 projection blend or a more complex multi-screen, multi-ratio event then e2 is the answer to all your problems.
Connected
With 28 discreet inputs (8x3G-SDI, 4xDL-DVI, 8×1.1DP, 8×1.4HDMI) & 12 outputs (8×1.4HDMI, 4x3G-SDI) you have to work hard to run out of inputs & outputs.
Layers
The Barco e2 offers up to 32 HD layers customizable as either pip or key effects and can be configured for HD, Dual Link (2560×1600 or 3840×1200 max), or 4K resolutions.
The e2 also offers background, non scalable mixer for each main destination set at the resolution of that destination. Any input can be added as a background source, there is also an internal matte colour generator & the e2 offers a still store of up to 100 HD frames.
Linked
If you do design an event that requires more inputs, outputs, or layers then the e2 can be linked, either to more e2’s an s3 or multiple eX
S3
The s3 offers a short form of the e2 & can only be used to provide extra sources or outputs, the layers are not cross compatible. How ever they can be used discreetly whilst connected.
eX
The ex can be configured in multiple ways, either, as 2 input cards, 2 output cards, or one of each.
When attached to the s3 the eX can also offer layer expansion by surrendering one of its in/out card ports to a layer board.
The eX can be linked with 1 CXP fibre offering the capability of a ‘stage box’ anywhere up to 120m away.
Event Master
Barco’s e2, s3 & eX are all controlled via a software interface. The Event Master software offers a GUI control for all parts of the system.
The control is via Ethernet.
Output Rotation
The latest output cards released have offered 4K60 (4:4:4) over a single cable (12G-SDI, HDMI2.0, DP1.2 depending on card).
These newest cards also provide the ability to rotate the output destination & offer support for HDCP 1.3 – 2.2.
